Album Review
Vaya Con Dios is the group name behind Belgian chanteuse/lyricist/ producer Dani Klein. Most successful are tracks like "Farewell Song" and "Brave Jane" that maintain a chic Euro-centricity with a splash of 60s Dusty Springfield soul. The ground gets shakier when Klein turns to other forms of American roots music for inspiration -- the country influences on "Farewell Song" are handled in particularly hamfisted fashion, although the bluesy "Muddy Waters" fares much better. Time Flies, is an interesting juxtaposition of cultures. ~ Roch Parisien, All Music Guide
