Album Review
This set contains tracks from Peggy Lee's second stint with Capitol Records, which began in 1958 shortly after she left Decca Records after a five-year run at the label. Highlights include Lee's fine version of "Fever" and the novelty hit "The Siamese Cat Song" from the Disney film The Lady and the Tramp, a song for which Lee herself wrote the lyrics. Lee was a cool, crafty, and undeniably sultry singer, as much a jazz vocalist as she was a pop one, and any collection of hers is bound to be revealing and enjoyable, and that's the case here, although obviously there's a lot more to Peggy Lee than just this later Capitol era. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
