Album Review
Pianist Laszlo Gardony's American debut (he had recorded a record in his native Hungary two years earlier) finds him holding his own with bassist Miroslav Vitous and drummer Ian Froman. Gardony performs six of his originals, which are fairly advanced and straight-ahead while influenced a bit by his Hungarian heritage and, to a lesser extent, classical music. Well worth searching for. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
