Album Review
Warning: if you are a hardcore Willie Nelson fan who can't get enough of his live material, this may be for you. If you simply need the hits, leave this one in the bin where you found it. Given that Nelson records for all kinds of labels these days, and does boatloads of records in his old age -- he averages a new one every three months or so! -- it's hard to say whether or not this is a sanctioned recording. It is prime era Nelson, though. One guess is it's from the early '80s. The tunes are hits and his voice is in fine form. The sound of this baby, though, feels like it was recorded in a tunnel with all the slapback echo and the muted backing instruments. Remember, you've been warned. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
