Review

Motown scored big with this album, which contains ten 60s hits, from Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It through the Grapevine" to Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale," just the sort of thing the yuppie thirtysomethings in the movie loved, and music rediscovered by the audience that saw the film. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide

Soundtrack from the classic film. Real 70s ambiance. Performers include the Marvellettes, Creedence Clearwater Revival (Bad Moon Rising), Beach Boys (Wouldn't It Be Nice), Four Tops (It's the Same Old Song), Percy Sledge (When a Man Loves a Woman), Martha Reeves & the Vandellas (Dancin' in the Street), and the Band (The Eight), among others.

The UPC that matches this listing is the "15th Anniversary" edition of the soundtrack and the cover image shown here is NOT correct (even Amazon has it wrong). Track listing is the same. You can see the "15th Anniversary" edition cover image for this CD at this URL http://tinyurl.com/27xby8
