Synopsis

Album Description
THE MUSIC: Their first release features a collection of powerful vocals falling into a variety of musical styles, from; Smooth Jazz to Pop to R&B, Latin and World. In short, theirs is a "Multi-Genre" project. Poignant selections such as "The Peace Song," Song Of Serengeti," and "People Of Earth (All Is One)" embody Zodia?s hope of a united humanity. Their fresh and passionate approach to this effort is inspiring. Cuts like "Ghosts" make a strong social commentary while "Miracle" considers the mystery of life itself. "Phoenix" is symbolic of their personal struggles overcoming many obstacles, including cancer, to complete this project. The opener, "Love Is Profound" speaks for itself in an earthy and unique fashion and reveals a hint of Dee?s Native American roots. "For Exactly Who You Are" speaks of acceptance, regardless of who you are. That is a concept that the world needs to hear more often and one that likely would strike a chord in all our hearts. The virtue of the remaining material on the CD lies in the strong musicianship and exciting performances of "Summer Sensation" and "Love Is The Only Way To Fly." The versatility and depth of ZODIA is evident in songs like "Fuchsia" and "Someday Soon." Finally, toe-tappers like "Writings On The Wall" and catchy pop cuts like "Moment In Time" leave the listener craving more. All in all, it is not possible to pigeonhole ZODIA. They cross genres effortlessly and with rare found finesse.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Zodia boasts awesome instrumentals and some of the most beautiful voices that I've heard in a long time. "Someday Soon" features a rich, vibrant voice which reminds me of a young Rita Moreno. Summer Sensation has been going through my head non-stop for a few days now. Catchy, fun tune that reminds me of my youth walking along the boardwalk with all the attractions. I strongly recommend this album!"
