Synopsis

Album Description
Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1971 solo album from the former Lovin' Spoonful member including two bonus tracks. When Yanovsky was controversially ousted from The Lovin Spoonful in 1967, the fans took it hard: Zally had been the most popular member of the band! Alive And Well In Argentina was crafted by Zally and his Spoonful replacement Jerry Yester as almost a deconstruction of Pop, with odd covers of boyhood favorites and Zappa-esque malarkey jostling with Folk-Pop gems. A surreal composite of Psychedelic Pop and wry piss-taking, it remains a vital artifact of it's time and place. Rev-Ola have added on the epochal non-album single, 'Bonner'/'Gordon's As Long As You're Here', which has the album's whole intent squeezed into one radio-friendly should-have-been-hit. Rev-Ola. 2010.
