Pavane celebrates its 40th anniversary with a new collection: Pavane Anthologia. The first four titles are available now and consist of reissues of acclaimed recordings of the catalogue. All four were no longer available for a while and are now offered once again at very special price. The present release is the first recording in the new series. This album features piano icon Youri Egorov. The all-Bach program was recorded in 1975, just after he won his prize at the Queen Elizabeth of Belgium Competition. This is truly a new testimony of his sublime art. The release features Bachs Preludes and Fugues from The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I, as well as his Italian Concerto.
