Eldee Young and Isaac `Red' Holt began their careers as the stand-up bass player and drummer for Ramsey Lewis. After Lewis' success with The `In'Crowd, Young and Holt formed their own outfit and scored hits in the mid-60's with 'Soulful Strut' (sampled for Joss Stone's 'Don't Cha Wanna Ride') and 'Wack Wack' (which has become a hit in Europe again after being used in a TV spot). This 21-track compilation features those tracks along with jazzy cover versions of songs by the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Burt Bacharach and others.
