"The Young Gods continue to be the most exciting and innovative band in the world. This album, released after a five-year interval, has been unfairly neglected ; though it may not resemble earlier works such as their debut LP and the masterpiece "L'eau Rouge", it still overwhelms the senses and takes the listener to far-away imaginary lands through the amazing, trademark samplers, sounds and noises that the band uses to construct songs and for which they are most well-known. Particular stand-outs : "Lucidogen", "Laisser Couler ( Le Son )", "Attends" and the menacing "Stick Around" in which Treichler adopts the same serial-killer voice he thrilled us with on classic Young Gods songs like "Les Enfants" and Weill and Brecht's "Alabama Song"."

"A bit disappointing. The Young Gods used to be at least five years ahead of everybody else. They were so far ahead of the game they appear to have lost their way somewhat. This new album is very techno but lacks good tunes. Everything sounds over-processed and stilted. It is also very badly mastered, my tip is to play it twice as loud as normal to get some decent noise out of it. I saw them play it live in London last week and it sounded much better but still very pale against the earlier material."

"The Young Gods are almost fantastically original. They blend standard trance induced electronics with gritty guitars and lay some fantastic vocals ontop of all of it. This particular CD has a lot of TYG's tradtional elements, but this CD is even more ambient than most of their works. The CD has a very refreshing and enlightening feel to it. Highly Recommended..."
