As if to prove that California doesn't have a lock on retro punk in its many incarnations, this Australian trio returns with a fourth album of Who-like riffing melodicism, with a heavy dose of self-deprecatory lyrics delivered replete with well-turned backing vocals. You Am I are huge at home, while their efforts--like 60 Ft Dolls' similarly excellent Big Three--go mostly ignored in the States. Too bad; Green Day fans might find some kindred spirits here. --Rickey Wright
