Synopsis

Album Description
2009 release. Featuring members that have honed their craft in such bands as The Gault, Amber Asylum and World Eater, Worm Ouroboros is a delicate, serene, yet ultimately crushing and devastating act which subtly and seamlessly combines several genres such as Doom Metal, Neo-Classical, Chamber Music, Dark Ambient, and Progressive Music. Those familiar with The Gault and Amber Asylum will definitely find common sonic ground with Worm Ouroboros, an act that contrasts light and dark, fragility and strength, darkness and light, harmony and discord, serene and heavy.

Ambient Metal Mastery

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I sort of gambled by picking this album up at my local record store at a spur of the moment recommendation... AND AM I GLAD I DID! If you're looking for some ambient, progressive music you should definitely give this a listen. Many parts remind me of Opeth, and a few are slightly like Mastodon. This album has quickly become my "going home" music I put on because it just seems perfect for calming me down but when it picks up into the more progressive and even doom metal inspired parts I just get pulled further into it.

If you like Opeth, or basically any kind of progressive metal, or maybe you like some of the ambient or chillout stations on internet radio, I would imagine you would enjoy this. Their myspace has several full tracks."
