After their first successful recording of works for violin and piano by Franz Schubert, young violinist Thomas Albertus Irnberger and legendary pianist Jörg Demus present a sequel consisting of the Sonata (also called "Duo") in A Major, D. 574; the "Arpeggione" Sonata, D. 821, which in its first printing was published in both cello and violin versions in addition to the arpeggione, long forgotten as an instrument; and the Introduction and Variations on Trockne Blumen ("Dry Flowers") D. 802. Demus plays a fortepiano by Conrad Graf built around 1823, and Irnberger plays a violin built by Martin Stoss in 1824.
