"If you like the blues and swing of the 30's and 40's this is a must have. Woody does it all; writes, sings, plays clarinet and sax. More blues then swing, this CD is full of classics. Blues in The Night(Arlen-Mercer)was up for a Academy Award in 1941. I'm hooked on Blue Flame(Noble). Red River Blues(White-Herman) is so simple but so good. Add some electricity to Bishop's Blues(Noble)and you're Rock'n. Nicely documented. A most excellent value."
