Tremendous music, and a lot of it

"I bought this collection on vinyl records, but I have retained a record player and just listened to two symphonies. There is so much music here that I do not expect most people to know one part of this from another, but I know a lot of popular Mozart and suspect that of all his symphonies, a few of these are more well known than any of his earlier attempts to compose for orchestra. Tonight my mind was most impressed by the first seven minutes of Symphony No. 20 in G minor, a Molto allegro movement that had many musical themes that seemed quite dramatic after listening to the second version of the Paris Symphony No. 31 in D major. Anyone who knows enough about music to have some idea how different those two keys are should appreciate Mozart's ability to keep notes flowing rapidly in a way that can absorb the attention of anyone who has learned to listen well. Mozart is always musical, and for those who can appreciate that, these are some symphonies that are not at all boring."
