CD Reviews

What Wonderful Music
Brad | Clinton, Tn United States | 09/13/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"There is little I can add to the review above, except emotion. The references to the Airplane, are readily evident on this CD. There are moments of Steppenwolf as well. The gentleness of Crosby Stills & Nash is found here. The social thinking of Airplane, the pertinence of writing music during the time when this music was released is there. The guitar work is equal to the Dead's easily. It fits and always seems right. SLightly psychedelic and always perfect. This music could easily turn into a long Dead jam at any second.I listened to this CD on a ride through the Great Smokey mountain national park, and was always confused. You see, at first it was Songs #1, 4, and 8 that hit me best, but on the second play it was 2, 5, and 9! Then it occured to me, this CD is good all the way through. You dont need favorites here.Incidently, this CD is very much like Fever Tree. You may wish to check them out. Im sure many will remember "San Francisco Girl (Return of the Native) From a long time ago. Both these CD's bring back the old days quite well."
You'll Be In Late 60s San Francisco Via Kansas

"West Coast styled US 60s from Lawrence Kansas with complex melodic vocal harmonies, spaced out guitars and good original dreamy and melodic songs. Good all around album if you're into the style of music."
