Winds of Devotion

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The CD Winds of Devotion took me away. It took me on a journey of serenity and calm. It touched an ancient part of spirit as it whisked me away to a tranquil space. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who wishes to go on such a journey. I've purchased other CD's by R. Carlos Nakai and Nawang Khechog, and this CD is a marvelous combination of Native American flute, chants and vocals. The mix is mesmorizing. It will truly transport you to a space within that has perhaps not been reached before. The music speaks to the spirit."

"I like the Native American flute like the next guy. Especially during massage :) Yet this CD brings something extra to the table, a sensitivity that can only arise from great collaboration. There is a quantum leap in these songs from simple melodies to 'transdimensional' pieces that combine the devotion permeating ancient Tibetan conchs, mantras and prayers with the wind flowing through space. Excellent use of 5.1 surround sound. Perfect for journeying, for using music as entryway into magical spaces.

Tibetans and Southwestern Indians have kept their traditions vibrant, strong and intact. Both cultures love music as much as they love to work turqouise, coral and silver into artifacts that have profound cultural, spiritual and artistic beauty. Now on this CD they are talking, exchanging and sharing music and it is beautiful to see. And hear. I love this music."
