Description"One of those to look out for in 2008!" says Greybeard from the Texas Music Radio Show. Hailing from western Arkansas, from the very edge of red dirt country, Willie Stradlin is one of the newest and fastest growing bands on the Texas/Oklahoma music scene. Raised on rebel country and red dirt, they bring to the table their own brand of rowdy southern rock and roll. When Willie Stradlin entered the studio with Mike McClure and Travis Linville in May of 2007, they brought with them a notebook full of songs about living in the south, a pocketful of borrowed money, and five guys who just wanted their music to be heard. A short five days later they headed back to Arkansas, their families, and their jobs, and waited to see what Joe Hardy would do with their raw tracks. In September of that year Willie Stradlin proudly released the results of that session, and got busy spreading the word throughout the mid-south. Their debut CD is a cross-section of the band, touching on their fondness for good times with friends, their love stories, and their darkest secrets.
