GREAT

"Even though there were many "cookie cutter" bands in the 80's, this band is an exception. Nowadays in music, you don't even have to know how to play guitar, or any instrument for that matter to get a contract. You need to only play a rythem and write a catchy chorus. In the 80's, everyone played guitar, amazingly, and White Wolf guitarist Cam, was no exception. This album has strong songs and is very well written. The production was poor, but don't falt the band for that. I wish this album would get a re-mix and a re-release. Some of the stand out tracks, "She", "Time Waits for No-one" and "Just Like an Arrow" are amazing should have been hits in the 80's. I only remember seeing a video for "She", which is what turned me on to this band. This is one band that I would look foreward to seeing a reunion of."

"Formerly known as Warrior throughout the 70's white wolf dominated the club scenes in Canada for years. After loosing in court for their name they changed to White Wolf. Fortunately their music did not suffer. I had the pleasure of traveling with and getting to know the band quite well in the early to mid 80's and have experienced their powerhouse (Cams new band)live show 100's of times. BOth cd's are fantasic, if you like the metal of the 80's. Tremendous vocals with fantastic guitar work. Very good stuff.

Just Like an Arrow

"1986's Endangered Species was the second album from the much underrated Canadian melodic hard rock band White Wolf. Not as pop-oriented as countrymen Honeymoon Suite, yet not quite metal either, White Wolf had a very polished melodic hard rock sound that brings to mind a mix of both Y&T and Magnum. In fact, Endangered Species features a faithful cover of Magnum's classic Just Like an Arrow. The remaining songs on Endangered Species, including singles She and Run for Your Life are all quite good, and should appeal to any fan of 80's rock and metal.

It's a shame the band never really caught on, because they seemed to have all of the elements to make them a success, especially in that particular era.

NOTE: For some reason, the Amazon track listing is missing the song She, which is definitely on the CD release of Endangered Species.
