CD Reviews

This is the title for my review

"To put it plainly, this album rocks-- literally. It starts off with acoustic guitar and vocals, sounding as if they have been recorded through a 4-track, with a higher fidelity guitar track dubbed over that. Then the ROCK kicks in. Bob Weston's production is unmistakable, as the drums crash loudly behind well-mixed guitar and bass. The vocals are emphatic without being overbearing, the guitar edgy, the bass seemingly directing each song's progression, and the drums pound forcefully or submit to subtlety when the mood permits. Comprised of changes in time, tempo and dynamics, the songs flow unpredictably. Emotion is apparent in their performance, and, regardless of the theme, they are presented in a way that can connect with the audience. After the barrage of the bulk of the album, it ends with a cool-down, the melodious title track, which is the perfect ending to an intense album that demands such attention. If this band comes to your town, be sure to check them out live, because they bring the rock. In the meantime, however, buy this album."
Genius, Genius. GENIUS!!!!!!!!

"The Most Amazing Album ever made from the most amazing band [RIP] other than At the Drive-In to ever Walk the earth. These guys put on one of the most amazingly emotional and heart felt shows I have ever seen. Stephen Pedersen broke a string and kept playing and singing, Never missing a lick, and I think it sounded even better with a broken string. Every thing this guy touches turns to GOLD. Now Criteria is my new favorite band. Mr. Pedersen did it again with En Garde. Genius....!!!! Linc, biggers rock mucho too!Made in 2000 and would be amazing if it came out in 2004, even 2010. Will stand the test of time. If you like At the Drive In,These arms are snakes, Cursive, You will absolutely love this album."

"white octave is red hot.. not even that putz bob weston can screw this one up. linc hancock steals the show with unparalleled dexterity in the low registers of bass line doom. this is some serious down and dirty north carolina nitty gritty bass action... folks, dont miss this rising star! linc is gangsta..."
