CD Reviews

Is this the same band ? Seriously, What happened?

"I first took notice to this group, when they were getting a ton of good reviews for their first disc, Americas favorite pastime. It lived up to the hype and then some, each musician complimented each other with their dedication to playing some of the most shredding melodic pop-punk around. They even stepped it up a notch on the 2nd effort, long walk. This disc had a better production, tighter musicianship & some excellent songwriting. Then appearances wear thin came out, I didn't see any reviews on it, other than a couple on amazon, which I know think are slightly misguided. I waited to pick this up... if I would've paid any more I would be shooting myself right now! The once TRULY talented group I grew to love is no more. The production is sub par to say the least. The vocals sound like he went through puberty and he isn't even going to try to sing like he used to. When it comes to the drums, I had to check to see if it was even the same guy playing & it was, so I guess the production killed it for him too. lastly, The guitars are ok, you can hear moments of brilliance, but not like before. I think the creative juices that once fueled this powerhouse have sadly run dry. This is painful to write, because this band was so deserving of the stardom that they'll probably never see! In closing, this is not a true representation of whippersnapper, pick up long walk or americas favorite pastime instead! You are hearby warned!"
