CD ReviewsHeart breaking and healing Susan L. Rubendall | Rockford, IL USA | 06/01/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "When We No Longer Touch was written back when AIDS was a death sentence. The words are immeasurably sad, but the music is both touching and uplifting, and the singing of the Turtle Creek Chorale is beautiful beyond measure.
Although this music was written from the perspective of a gay man losing his partner to AIDS, anyone who has lost a loved one or who faces and dreads that loss will be moved by the songs: Prologue: What Will I Do If it Happens?; Depression: I am Missing You; Acceptance: I Shall Miss Loving You; and finally Hope: I Have Loved." |
