Wharton points the way...

"Well, the first thing is the sound, which is glorious--massed electric guitars, thunderous yet articulate drumming, honking sax...a traditional rock 'n' roll lineup, and this music rocks, make no mistake. But this isn't some stupid rock 'n' roll band--it is instrumental orchestral sound art (no dumb singer, thank god!). This NYC ensemble doesn't really sound like your typical NYC art ensemble--because it is listenable! No sludgy mess, no irritating dischord, no pretensions. The compositions flow organically, and they are INTERESTING! They are HARMONIC! Dissonance exists, but only to shake you out of your torpor, then it is gone, the next cresting wave carrying you further... Wharton Tiers, the drummer/composer, is pointing the way to the future....pay attention!"
