Synopsis

Album Description
"Don't let their young looks fool you. Their music is maturing--and fast." -- Clarion Ledger From the punchy staccato chords of the opening track to the arena-rock posturing of the epic closer, The Weeks' debut displays the talents of a band playing on a level that eclipses peers who clock in at twice their collective age. Musically, the band taps into its Southern roots (and parents' vinyl collection). Raised on a Deep-Southern-fried diet of the Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Brothers, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Weeks proudly showcase the musical heritage of their home state. Sonically akin to Southern neighbors Kings of Leon, The Weeks are ready to take the stage as a Southern juggernaut to be reckoned with.

CD Reviews

Why aren't these guys more popular??
Dubs | cincy | 07/14/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I don't know why these guys haven't made it big. The song Buttons is a sure fire hit, that should have been all over the radio by now. They definitely have a Kings of Leon sound (pre Only By the Night), with an added flavor of punk and nice acoustic ballads. Comeback Cadillac has just the right mix of punk, southern rock, and a couple softer songs that really show depth. There's not a bad song on the album, a rarity that I can find an album to listen to all the way through. They have a unique sound that's easy on the ears and simplistic yet powerful lyrics. Take a risk on this one, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to see what these guys have in store for the future."
