CD ReviewsFayn Ayamak John M. Chapman | 08/31/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "There are four songs on this CD (Fayn Ayamak, Hubbak Qadar, Ya Liyl and one I can't remember the name of). The first three mentioned are very good. Fayn Ayamak and Hubbak Qadar are both sad but great for dancing, and Warda's vocals are beautiful as usual. The third song, the one I can't remember the name of, I do not like so much. It is too westernized for me. Ya Liyl is a live recording, so it's slightly fuzzy, but it doesn't get in the way of the effectiveness of the song. You can also hear clapping, whistling and zaghareet. But it's a great song.
The CD is definitely worth the money." |
