Commercial enough without the Overplay

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Interesting mix of songs ranging from the droning Feelies style to everything reflecting late 70's Sex Pistols punk styles to Tom Petty,Fleetwood Mac,the Stones or Kinks. Got a ticket lead footing to Effigy was it worth it? You bet! The driving rhythms, harmonious guitars, funky keyboards on From Afar make even a Hyundai seem like a Porsche. Saw this band live a couple of times and these songs are better in person depending on the venue. When I heard them, the keyboards were really 'Hush' style on 'From Afar' (the keyboard player is older but kind of cute too!).
If you love Crazy Rhythms and enjoy the loud wild guitars of the 60's/70's and 80's mixed with an alternative sound this CD will be up your alley since you won't have the boredom of radio overkill!."
