Superb piano playing

"The Mozart sonata and the Fantasy prelude which he added to it are in the composer's most romantic style, profound and beautiful works which respond well to Richter's intense performance. The two Beethoven sonatas are among his greatest works, recorded by many pianists. These performances by Richter are among the best you will find. The sound is good and although they are listed as live performances (from 1991), there are no obtrusive audience noises. A valuable disc."
