CD Reviews

Refreshment for your ears.
Igor Vander | BROOKLYN, NY United States | 07/27/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"You know those days when nothing in your music collection matches the mood you are in or you are actually tired of everything and yet you need to fill the air with sounds? Here is the album that might resolve the problems. The 2CD compilation contains songs that stylistically match one another. You'll find very well known hits by Everything But The Girl and Fatboy Slim and half-forgotten or not known ones like "Loose It" by Happy Mondays, a group very well known in Europe and not in the US. Released in 1990, this song quickly made it to Top20 Singles chart in Britain. It sounds just as fresh today as it did then. Another favorite of mine is "Flame" by Crustation with Bronagh Slevin. The song is a fresh breeze of perfect harmony, fragile and sensual with a certain strong edge. The Album is not completely "chilly". Leftfield's "Song of Life" is more appropriate for waking up in the morning than for after-midnight listening in your foamy bath for example."
Brilliant follow up to the Original Chillout Album

"This cd is brilliant! What a choice of tunes to chill you out to the maxxxxxxx..... Check out the version of "Light My Fire" by none other than Shirley Bassey. Sends shivers down your spine. A must have for anyone into really good funky ambient music...."
