"If you are familiar with The Vision Bleak, you've heard this before. Sure, it is all new material, but it is basically the same as their other 2 albums...and what's wrong with THAT? This has the same crisp, clear, stunning production. This has the memorable melodies and ripping riffs. This has the haunted, low, SUNG vocals. This one has a BIT less orchestration, female vocals, etc. This is close to what Type O Negative would sound like if they wrote all GOOD songs instead of just one or two per album, added an orchestra, and were entirely obsessed with HORROR! The sound is very thick and heavy, running the gamut from Death-MeTal style material to sinister "Gothic"-style passages(though there are no dorky dance-parts on here, Johnny!) The cd cover (I have the "special edition") is a fantastic piece of artwork, in keeping with their previously-established high standards. Yet another super-excellent release from these Morbid Germans. The "Special Edition" contains a dvd disc as well as a coupon to order a limited T-shirt and patch, by the way."
