"This recording, as previous review notes, was done in 1949. The
same reviewer is correct in noting, that though a little 'dry'
as compared to a more modern recording, the sound on this cd is
perfectly satisfactory. Although Heifetz' performance on this cd is wonderful, I must
point out that an equally good performance can be found on
the Living Stereo recording of this concerto, which is recorded to much better sound specifications and engineering."
