Album Description
This german band led by guitarist/ singer Arne Schäfer (two albums under the name APOGEE, FGBG 4142.AR and FGBG 4253.AR) and keyboardist Ekkehard Nahm is well known by the progressive audience for its second album "Disturbance" (FGBG 4216.AR ), released two years ago, acclaimed by everyone for its musical excellence. This new opus is in the same vein, maybe more inspired by Van Der Graaf Generator and Hammill than before, and with a more powerful rhythm section. Rejoining the great musical spirit of the seventies, Versus X combines a lot of influences (VDGG, Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd?) to create an original and complex music. Long pieces ( 7, 13, 15 and 21 minutes!), dark atmospheres, philosophical lyrics (English singing), guitar and piano virtuosos, subtle harmonies?
