"I must admit, the first time I listened to this Album I was bored and had to turn it off. But one night I was in the mood for something Mellow and put this back on for another whirl, boy was I suprised to find out that all the songs were amazing! I guess you have to be in the right mood, but after that I coudn't stop listening to it and all the songs stuck with me. These songs also have a lot of feeling in them, like "These Dudes, they got a band", and "Little White Crosses." Personally, I think this album is amazing but it may take a listen or two."

"Old Promise Ring fans might find this record lacking focus or fire, but the reason the boys made it (accoridng to the Kindercore Records site) is because they were tired of the intensity of Promise Ring's material. It's fragmentary, sparse, reflective, creative, peaceful, good music. I can't explain it fully, but the record is personified by the dog on the front cover. It's a lovely piece of work by some very competent songwriters."
