Vayo Raimondo has received three Grammy nominations in recent years. His Tango Universal was nominated for both a Grammy (2011) and a Latin Grammy (2010). In this new album of Tropical music, he sings his own compositions and lyrics in addition to some classic boleros and sons. Vayo interprets and arranges his music for an acoustic ensemble of gifted South American musicians. Within the Tropical genre, Vayo employs traditional rhythms and also creates some of his own.
