Description

In the past few years, the church has seen an explosion of contemporary Catholic music in Spanish. Thanks to Sal de la Tierra, it's easy to explore this rapidly growing repertoire!

50 of the best new songs
Gathering 50 of the best new songs, carefully selected by experts in the field, Sal de la Tierra is available in a 3-CD set and a series of songbooks. The collection includes many never-before-recorded songs, new recordings of popular songs, and songs from Primavera con Cristo, OCP's recent two-volume compilation.

A refreshing mix of contemporary styles
Recorded by outstanding producers in cities around the country, the 3-CD set features a refreshing mix of contemporary styles. The producers include Andy Andino and his popular band Who Do You Say I in Cleveland, Ohio, Albert Coppo in Miami, Mauricio Centeno in Los Angeles, Rodolfo López in Portland, Oregon, and Santiago Fernández in Detroit.

Music by Mario Alberto, Sara Torres & Jesse Manibusan
Highlights include "Atrévete," by Mario Alberto, who will be familiar to many from his work with El Sembrador ministries, and "Sumérgeme," performed here by Who Do You Say I Am. Jesse Manibusan recorded a new Spanish version of his hit single "Open My Eyes" (Abre Mis Ojos). Sal de la Tierra also features several songs popular with communities in Miami and other East Coast cities, including "Yo Te Alabo," by well-traveled artist Sara Torres.

Popular songs drawn from all parts of Latin America
Many will recognize "Canción del Misionero," "Dios Está Aquí" and the other popular songs drawn from all parts of Latin America. Recorded and published for the first time in Sal de la Tierra, these songs are finally available for use by youth and young adult groups around the country. The collection also includes some bilingual, Spanish-English songs.
