"Most of these tracks are from the early to mid sixties, when Rock 'n Roll was in its adolescence. The songs on this album managed to create an atmosphere of then-freshness while paying tribute to the bigger, orchestral sounds of the past. Since I was an adolescent at the same time, the songs are still some of my favorites and can always evoke a sweet nostalgia when I hear them. Even though there are no words to remind me of a specific time, place or person, closing my eyes and listening to this CD transports me to a world which was simpler, happier and full of promise. When it comes to pure escapism, I'll take these instrumentals anyday. If I have one regret, it's that volume two is the only one I've found still in print."
