Great Bizarro 50s Pop-Rock!

"Billy Vera has done an exceptional job of collecting (from the RCA vaults) pop tunes of the early 50s that touch on elements of country or R&B that would soon congeal into Rock 'N' Roll. If you like offbeat 50s pop, get this while there are still copies available. And while you're at it, seek out Vera's other excellent Westside comp, "Rockin' Is NOT Our Business" (OOP but still available) for more alternately hilarious and fascinating RCA-drawn material (pity that the proposed sequel drawn from the Coral-Decca vaults fell apart over contractual bugs)."
