CD ReviewsAn astounding record! Speedy | Fl, MO USA | 10/01/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is one of my prefered jazz albums of my collection. It is high on the list because of it's gorgeous compotitions and impecable and original playing. Also, you get the equivalent of 2 cds. The John Carter group is to die for. Have to hear it to believe it. And the Tapscott group is aldo completely unique in sound and compotition (plus you get the recording debut of Arthur Blythe...who is on top form!). Also the 'West Coast' sound is really there in these recordings. Free-ish but kept under control type of jazz that challenges you but that's still humable. Highly recommended!"
