"In the last few years of the 80's the Rock en Español (Rock en tu idioma) genre was very strong in Mexico, Spain and much of the Latinoamerican countries. Finally there was pop-rock that we were able to sing and understand. The genre stood out because; although it was not heavy or hard rock, the songs were not melodic ballads. Although they were not dance tunes, you could dance to them.



Months earlier, RCA had given us the first 2 disc set of Rock en tu idioma classics and it sold very well in Mexico, problem was, many other classics were not included in that collection because the artists were on other labels, something that was corrected on this set.
