""Picture of Hank: The New Bluegrass Way" beautifully honors the memory of Hank Williams. While self-described as bluegrass, the musical esthetics more closely resemble country with the addition of a mandolin. All of the favorites are here like 'Your Cheatin' Heart,' 'Lonesome Whistle' and 'Jambalaya.' Highlights include Andrea Zonn's 'You're Gonna Change (Or I'm Gonna Leave).' The vocals are especially strong and this is most evident on Kathy Chiavola's retelling of 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry.' When it seems that most of the Americana out there has gone pop, this tribute offers a genteel resurgence of twang. Indeed, the high twang level would make the honoree proud. The end result makes it clear that the musicians who crafted this project had great admiration for Hank's musical vision. Inedeed, these renditions do the original songs justice. While "Picture of Hank: The New Bluegrass Way" seems to have languished under the radar, it is essential for anyone who loves the great songs of Hank Williams."
