CD Reviews

Ignore the above
Arturo R Andazola | 11/08/1999
(4 out of 5 stars)

"um, ignore the review above. (nirvana is the name of the compilation silly head). a mighty good cd if you're more an ambient fan (like aphex twin's "selected ambient works I & II"); nyc drum & bass without the hard edge to it, & a consistent spiritual groove throughout."
The album that introduced me to a new world

"I first heard this release at Borders a long time ago. I thought the cover looked interesting, and that's usually my determining factor in finding good music. I didn't know what I was getting into. I didn't know that one man's vision would lead me into appreciating all genres of music. Although all the musicians did an amazing job on this record (Marshall H's contribution helped me coin the term "night music", which is what it truly is), I single them all out when it comes to Soul Slinger. His distinct sound and way of thinking has really helped me as a human being and as a creator of words, worlds, and music, and I thank him forever for that. I owe a lot to him and the other visionaries on the Jungle Sky label. I only hope one day that I can meet him, share ideas, listen to some alien music.... I believe...." After the aliens gave the government their technology, they then gave the people their music.""

"The beats are amazing. I still enjoy listening to this album and all my friends still borrow it."
