Synopsis

Album Description
With so much so-called New Age music turning out to be nothing more than heavily hyped, synthesized reformulations of the romantic, syrupy schlock that Middle America tends to gorge itself on, it is a blessing to find the Real Music label founding a new Real Mystic imprint dedicated to music that helps open pathways to higher dimensions. Label President Terence Yallop, who leads a 15-minute guided meditation on Namasté?s second bonus disc, has done a superb job of assembling pieces that transmit New Age music?s most trancelike and devotional qualities. Two beautiful tracks are from Karunesh?s Zen Breakfast, two from discs by Buedi Siebert. "Prabhupada Padma" from Rasa in Concert features the vocals of Kim Waters. Kim?s voice is so sensual that she could sing a grocery list and have you down on your knees, pledging eternal devotion to Kellogg?s Corn Flakes and hopefully something more organic. The music of Ben Leinbach, excerpted from his Spirit of Yoga disc, has already received praise in these pages: Yallop wisely uses it as background to his meditation as well as a solo track. Add in Benjamin Iobst?s Singing Bowls of Tibet and other beautiful offerings from Devakant and Gary Malkin, and you?ve got a collection as ideally suited to dinner by candlelight as for contemplation, meditation, and just plain daydreaming. ~ Jason Victor Bellecci-Serinus, Spirit of Change

CD Reviews

Hauntingly beautiful
John Trudo | Colorado Springs, CO United States | 03/01/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This may be the most hauntingly beautiful music I've ever experienced. While the tracks contain enough eastern mysticism to satisfy the kind of listener who might be intrigued by the CD title, there is something more here than temple bells. From Rasa's hypnotic "Prabhupada Padma" to the eerily sublime "Calling Wisdom" and the oddly touching "The End of Suffering," the music satisfies something elemental in the soul. This is a 2-CD set. The second CD contains a meditation exercise of about 15 minutes. While meditation may not be your thing, you can't go wrong with the music."
Absolutely Blissful!

"This is one of the most blissfully meditative CD's I've listened to in a long time! I can listen to it all day and never get tired of it. It has music that heals at all levels. If you're really having a stressful day, week, or month, this with a cup of herbal tea will have you de-stressed in no time!"
Namaste

"This in my opinion, is the most beautiful music I've ever heard. The music sampler cant possibly capture the beauty of this entire CD. It is a wonderful meditation CD, one that can put you in a very peaceful, deep medatative state, a musical masterpiece of every track that will take your mind into an incredible state- there's nothing like this one, Namaste. It is my very favorite CD of all."
