Oldies but goodies

"i have benn collecting musica criolla de peru for 40 years and
this album typifies the real sound of the musicians of the sierra. it is a perfect cross section of peruvian valses, mariner
ras and huaynos with some surprises thrown in.
if you are an afficianado of authentic huayno music from ancash
and huancayo you will love this cd.
this cd emphasizes songs that predate the modern sound of huaynos
heard today. for the most part the musicians are unknowns with the exception of picaflor delos andes but they are very accomplished.
i highly reccommend this cd without any hesitation.
