I wandered into a CD shop and asked for recommendations and this was the one. After one listen, I pretty much decided that it was my album and my son could have something else...someday. This is a wonderful compilation of examples of musical styles by New Orleans-area artists. The compilers at the New Orleans Music Industry Foundation have included examples of virtually every available music genre, including swing, blues, jazz, alternative, grunge, cajun...even a new age-flavor piece. I just keep having a wonderful time listening to it, and I am pleasantly surprised that I like virtually every cut. And I am left with one persistent thought: lucky, lucky New Orleans, to brew so much different and excellent music. Very highly recommended."
