Prometheus Records presents the original soundtrack to THE KEY TO REBECCA, the 1985 television mini-series based on the book by Ken Follett, directed by David Hemmings, starring Cliff Robertson, David Soul, Anthony Quayle and Robert Culp, featuring music composed and conducted by J.A.C. Redford, performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra. The story concerns the cat-and-mouse game that ensues between a ruthless Nazi agent and a single-minded British Major in Egypt during World War II. The composer, J.A.C. Redford, is known for his fine scores to A TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, NEWSIES and CONAGHER as well as television shows such as ST. ELSEWHERE, KNOTS LANDING and THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE. In composing the score for THE KEY TO REBECCA, Redford tried to evoke the feeling of films such as CASABLANCA and SAHARA.
