CD Reviews

A budget priced double CD that really delivers!

"This 2 CD set has a superb collection of mid-80's to late 90's high-energy tracks. Many of these tracks were never before available on CD, and were very difficult to find on vinyl. Of course all are presented in their 12" version (with the exception of "Absolutely Fabulous").If you need a reason to buy this CD set, look no further than the 15+ minute Patrick Cowley remix of "I Feel Love". Originally available eons ago on the DJ-only remix service, Disconet, this is THEE trippiest synth-disco excursion. DJ's have paid hundreds of $$ to get this track in the past - and now it's here in all it's CD quality glory.Of course there are other hard to find disco and NRG tracks here as well. The highlights: Gloria Gaynor's "I Am What I Am", "No Frills Love" by broadway belter, Jennifer Holliday, that damn Cats song, "Memory" by Menage and E.G. Daily's(Tommy Pickles from Rugrats) beautiful rendition of "Love in The Shadows".A must have for dance enthusiasts!"
Great for any dance fan!

"I initially had reservations about this CD primarily because the only song I knew was "Absolutely Fabulous." However, I was pleasantly surprised with the rest of the material, a sampling of hi-nrg club music from late 70s to the mid-90s. In addition to "Absolutely Fabulous", the top cuts are "Live to Tell" (a wonderful dance rendition of the tender Madonna ballad), "Neverending Story", "I Like You", "Love in the Shadows", and "Body Rock." The other enjoyable aspect of this album is its collection of dance remakes of tender, sappy songs that the original writers never intended to be danced to. I've already mentioned "Live to Tell", there is also "You're so Vain", "Memory" (the song from Cats), and "Nothing Compares to You." Although all the songs aren't exactly gems, there aren't any dud tracks, which is something you can rarely say about a compilation album."
Gets you Dancing!

"This two CD set which is nicely priced I might add will have you moving in no time. Starting with the Pet Shop boys and ending with Ertha Kit you will find yourself shaking your body captured by the catchy tunes in this collection. If yu are a lover of late eighties and early nineties songs some which have been remixed for full dancibilty then buy this Cd and enjoy."
