A wonderful time capsule of local country talent

"This cd is a real find for fans of early country music. All of the tracks were recorded by an independent recording company in Houston, and feature very talented musicians who were playing Houston venues during the late 40's and early 50's. The enclosed booklet of documentation and photos is extremely informative and is obviously the product of intensive research. While most of the artists might be previously unknown by listeners, each track is catchy and polished (for the era). I think new and old fans of the genre will agree that it's truly a gem!"
