Synopsis

Amazon.com
Graybeard aggro is the outlook that permeates this selection of roadworthy numbers for the chopper set. Mixing '70s classic rock with its '80s offspring, blues-rock with its proto-metal kin, Legendary Harley-Davidson Road Songs hugs the corners with the likes of Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back in Town," and Heart's "Crazy on You." And though most of the selections aren't explicitly asphalt anthems (BTO's "Roll on Down the Highway" and Poison's "Ride the Wind" are a couple of exceptions), nothing here will prompt you to either slip into the slow lane or stop in your tracks. --Steven Stolder

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Being the owner of both Harley-Davison Roadsongs compilations, I was ecstatic to learn of this new collection of road-worthy tunes. Filled with 17 classic rock songs, this cd kept me rockin' and singing along until the very end. I've been a fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles for many years, and this disc represents the freedom and excitement evoked by riding on the back of a hog. With such 70's classics as Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" and Thin Lizzy's "The Boys are Back in Town" to The Dead's "Touch of Grey" and the Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" of the 80's, the artists compiled in this album still manage to put most of today's artists to shame. If you like classic, good old fashioned rock and roll, or you're just tired of listening to Limp Bizkit and Korn (not that there's anything wrong with them!)...this album is a must have!"
