"The seeds of rock 'n roll were planted in the 1950s. This was the decade that paved the way for all future rock 'n roll music, not to mention all the remakes of '50s songs by artists in future decades. This CD is the first volume of a 3-volume series. It contains 10 songs. From "Be-Bop-A-Lula" by Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps to "Mack The Knife" by Bobby Darin to "(We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock" by Bill Haley & The Comets, it's just a tiny sampling of no doubt the most influential decade for rock music.
I think every fan of rock 'n roll should have some '50s music in their collection, even if they prefer the rock music that came in future decades. Listen to '50s rock and you'll hear how the music influenced the rock artists of the future."
