Kim English's "Missing You," Byron Stingily's "Keep Love Going," and Club Artists United's "Sweet Chariot" are some of the tasty house tracks served up on Club Nervous, Vol. 2. The 10-track compilation disc, mixed by Frankie Feliciano, also presents more unusual house fare. Kerri Chandler's jazzy singing brushes up against an odd, intriguing keyboard pattern to create a distinctive flavor on "Rain." Mike Dunn's elegiac "Now That You're Gone" features flutist Paul Mertens taking an expansive, track-long solo over a tightly wound groove. The closer, Johnny Dangerous's "Face It," uses only the most essential ingredients to wrap things up: just drums and the human voice chanting, speaking, screaming, whispering. --Fred Cisterna
