CD Reviews

Good effort, but missing some KEY songs
Michael McNichols | Yucaipa, california United States | 05/03/2003
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I'm a die hard Black Flag fan, I been listening to them since I was 13. They are and will always be the "TRUE AMERICAN" hardcore/punk band for years and years to come. The only band to come close to following their foot-steps is American Nightmare, but that's a different story altogether. Up until recently I was excited to find out that there was a tribute album, but I was also a little disappionted as well. The only reason being is that the album is lacking some of Black Flag's best songs for example: "White Minority", "Revenge", "Fix me", "I've Had It", "No Values", and last but not least "T.V. Party". If the tribute had those songs on it I would've given it five stars. Plus I would've liked to have heard just one band have the balls to cover "White Minority". I'm not a racist person, but that is just a classic song and needed to be on the album."
The best tribute album i own

"this is FAR superior to the hideous(but well intended) "rise above" compilation that came out the same year. you will not be dissapointed if you are a fan of hardcore or black flag."
